Broughton Angling Club – Members Update

Posted on November 4, 2025 By steve
Good afternoon All

We are looking at stock for Bowker Vale for later this year/earlier next year supplier dependant as always.
With the fenceline now proving secure for both fish stocks and members we feel happy to continue with some additional stocks for Bowker vale as Whittlebrook and Ashenhurst Have had good investment already.
One consideration we have to give is the size of fish we put in because of Cormorants so we will go as large as we can on variety’s, carp are easy as the start at 3 inches up to 40lbs so all sizes are available in terms of carp.

Silvers are not  easy to get large sizes of, here are some guide prices for guidance

Tench 10 inches 1lb+ £14.40 per lb plus vat and delivery with all fish

Crucian 8-10 inch £6.50 each plus vat delivery

Bream 10 inch + £9lb plus

Roach and Rudd 10 inch-1lb £7per lb and 1-2lb £10lb plus

Perch 1-2lb £16 per lb

Any carp purchased will come from our sole carp supplier which is VS if you wish to look them up just click the link below.

There may be slightly cheaper and more expensive but the sizes can vary slightly the prices are just for a guide as we ideally want all fish from the same supplier as delivery’s are normally around £300 so we only want to pay it ideally one delivery charge.

Please forward your input as soon as possible so I can go through the emails and we can make a hopefully more informed choice.

Tight Lines to the hard core that brave the wintery weather !!
