During video, I ask if anyone knew what the metal cages were for. so I check google and found out the reason why they are in the pond.
What are metal cages in fishing ponds for?
Metal cages in fishing ponds are primarily used to protect fish from predators such as herons or cats. They also help to prevent the buildup of fallen leaves and other debris in the pond, which can disrupt the aquatic environment.
The design of these cages can vary, with some being fixed, floating, submersible, or submerged, and they can be made from materials like stainless steel, copper, or aluminum. The choice of metal and design depends on the specific needs of the aquaculture site and the species of fish being farmed.
