Brookside Fisheries – Our Lakes

Our Lakes

We currently have approximately 90 pegs which are spread over several fish filled lakes.

Pleasure, match and specimen anglers are all welcome.

Open matches are run every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday but there are always lots of pegs available with dedicated lakes for the pleasure angler.

 Snake 1 & 2

These canal style lakes are ideal for pole fishing. The snake lakes are used for the majority of our open matches where winning weights of 100 – 150lb are not uncommon.  The snake lakes can also be booked as a whole for bigger club matches or to give yourselves plenty of room.

Adult  £8 – Concessionary (over 60 and under 14’s only) £6

Club Match Bookings
£200 (Snake 1 ( £120 individually ) & 2 ( £100 individually ) – 52 pegs)

Snake 1

  • Pegs: 1 -28 ( Max 15 anglers per match )
  • Depth: Up to 4 feet
  • Width: 13m to 16m
  • Species:
    • Carp to 10lb
    • F1’s to 5lb
    • Bream, Roach, Perch, Gudgeon

Snake 2

  • Pegs: 29-52 ( Max 10 anglers per match )
  • Depth: Up to 5½ feet
  • Width: 13m to 16m
  • Species:
    • Carp to 10lb
    • F1’s to 5lb
    • Bream, Roach, Perch, Gudgeon

Kingfisher

Kingfisher lake has 3 islands and has recently been changed to a carp runs water.  Please note pole fishing is not allowed on this lake and appropriate carp tackle must be used.

  • Depth: Up to 6 feet
  • Width: 16m to islands
  • Species:
    • Carp to 18lb

Meadow

This lake has 10 pegs and one large island. Ideal for pleasure or club anglers wanting to fish using pole or rod tactics. The full lake can be booked for smaller club matches.

  • Depth: Up to 6 feet
  • Width: 16m to islands
  • Species:
    • Carp to 14lb
    • Bream, Roach, Perch, Gudgeon

Day tickets
Adult  £8 – Concessionary (over 60 and under 14’s only) £6

Club Match Bookings
£65 (Full lake – 10 pegs)

Linear

Linear lake is our largest lake and is stocked for specimen anglers looking to bag some huge fish and possibly a personal best! The lake has a small island with a shallow bar running down the centre of the lake.

Please ensure that you read the Linear Lake rules before visiting.

  • Pegs: 1 – 11
  • Size: 3 acres
  • Depth: Up to 7 feet
  • Species:
    • Mirror and Common Carp to 28lb
    • Grass Carp to 28lb
    • Koi Carp to 25lb
    • Ghost carp to 18lb
    • Catfish to 50lb+

Day ticket – £12 Monday to Friday Only 

7am until 5pm only

(excluding bank holidays)

24 hour ticket £30 5pm to 5pm (Must be booked in advance)
